WHAT IS SUPERVISION?
Supervision
Although the primary purpose of supervision is to monitor and safeguard the interests of the client and ensure that ethical standards are maintained, it is also to support and assist you, the supervisee, in your professional development.
Who am I?
I am an experienced and fully qualified Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Supervisor with over 14 years’ experience. I am a Registered Member and Accredited by the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy.
How I Work
My aim is to offer supervisees an encouraging and nurturing environment where we can work collaboratively; a safe space where I hope you will feel confident to bring your work with clients and anything that concerns you without fear of feeling judged or being shamed. Although there will always be challenges when working in a therapeutic environment, my aim is to facilitate and guide you and to help you to grow and develop within your practice and I will always encourage you to celebrate your achievements.
I am mainly influenced by Inskipp & Proctor's Normative, Formative, Restorative approach as well as by Hawkins & Shohet's seven-eyed process model and the operational model of Mazzetti.
I have supervised qualified counsellors/psychotherapists and trainees in groups and as individuals for more than 10 years both in private practice and within charitable and private organisations.
I work face to face either in person or online or a combination of both.
